2026 Hyundai Tucson
2026 Hyundai
TUCSON
Following last year’s substantial Tucson refresh, Hyundai’s best-selling model moves into 2026 with additional enhancements. The 2025 update sharpened this compact crossover’s looks with a reworked front fascia, new lighting signatures, fresh wheel designs, and an updated cabin layout centered around a panoramic curved display. The 2026 lineup shifts slightly. The SEL Convenience trim is now called SEL Premium to better reflect its features and amenities, and the adventure-ready XRT is now eligible for a terrain management feature with selectable modes for mud, snow, and sand.
Every 2026 Hyundai Tucson is backed by America’s Best Warranty, industry-leading protection that provides five years or 60,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage and a powertrain warranty that lasts for ten years or 100,000 miles. Hyundai owners also receive three years of complimentary standard scheduled maintenance and five years of roadside assistance.
This overview details the conventionally powered 2026 Hyundai Tucson. Please also see our separate pages on the hybrid (HEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) editions.

The 2026 Tucson is made in five trims: SE, SEL, SEL Premium, XRT, and Limited. Their 2.5-liter four-cylinder makes 187 horsepower and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard across the range, while all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional. Fuel economy as estimated by the EPA is 25 mpg in the city and 33 on the highway with FWD, which changes to 24 mpg around town and 30 mpg on the open road with AWD. Cargo space starts at 38.7 cubic feet behind the second row and increases to 74.8 cubic feet behind the first row. When the 2026 Tucson is properly equipped, it can be used to tow up to 2,000 pounds.

The entry-level Tucson goes beyond the basics with LED headlights with automatic on/off, proximity keyless entry, four USB ports (two per row), and sound-reducing windshield glass. It also has fabric upholstery, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, a 4.2-inch gauge cluster, a dual-stage cargo floor, push-button ignition, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Added conveniences highlight the SEL. It has heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a hands-free power liftgate, an eight-way power driver’s seat, heated power side mirrors, roof rails, second-row air-conditioning vents, rear privacy glass, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Carrying over many of the SEL’s features, the XRT takes on a more rugged appearance with special body cladding, a tow hitch, trim-specific front and rear fascias, and other unique exterior treatments. It gets black H-Tex seating surfaces and a black headliner as well, along with upgraded exterior lighting, heated power side mirrors with integrated LED turn indicators, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and LED ambient interior lighting. In conjunction with AWD, it will also receive the new terrain management system with a selector for driving in mud, snow, and sand.
The Limited sits at the top of the lineup, expanding on the SEL Premium’s roster of amenities with a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seats, a head-up display, and a memory system for the driver. The other standard equipment on this loaded trim includes an eight-way power front passenger seat, unique exterior treatments, sound-reducing side window glass, projector-style LED headlights, and 19-inch wheels.

Its technologies consist of forward collision-avoidance assist (with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning detection), a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, adaptive cruise control, rear occupant alert, and safe exit warning. The SEL Premium and Limited add highway driving assist and an upgraded adaptive cruise system for easier long-distance driving.
