The Hyundai Palisade’s initial generation was a clear success, with consistently strong sales and legions of happy buyers. As its allnew second generation gets started with the 2026 model, there’s a lot to be excited about: an updated look, expanded capabilities, and additional amenities. The redesigned Palisade adopts a squaredoff profile with upright body lines, a prominent grille, and vertical LED lighting at both ends. On the inside, the dashboard houses two 12.3inch displays under a single curved panel on all but the base trim, blending the instrumentation with the infotainment controls. Core physical switchgear remains in place for the common functions, keeping the interface straightforward and user-friendly. The 2026 model year is also the first time Hyundai’s flagship SUV is available with a hybrid powertrain, which we cover in a separate overview.
The lineup has grown with the rugged XRT Pro, a trim that’s equipped for extra capability and style on unpaved routes. It’s differentiated by higher ground clearance, recovery hooks, and standard all-wheel drive. As before, the Palisade offers seating for seven or eight passengers across three rows, along with generous cargo capacity: 19.1 cubic feet of dedicated storage space with all seats in use, 46.3 cubic feet with the third row stowed, and up to 86.7 cubic feet behind the front seats.
