The 2025 Santa Fe Hybrid is a three-row crossover that seats up to seven and comes in trim packages called SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy. They all have the same powertrain, a powerful gas-electric system composed of a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor; the combined output is 231 horsepower and 271 lb.-ft. of torque. It’s managed by a six-speed automatic transmission, which by default sends power to the front wheels; all-wheel drive is optional.
According to the EPA’s official estimations, FWD Santa Fe Hybrids return 36 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. With AWD, both the city and highway fuel economy numbers decrease by just a single mile per gallon. Towing for every trim level of this model maxes out at 2,000 pounds.
For a base trim, the SEL packs in a ton of great features, like H-Tex (leatherette) upholstery, heated front seats, a power driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, Digital Key 2, push-button ignition, and a hands-free liftgate. It also gets four USB charging ports, a 4.2-inch multi-information display, an underfloor storage compartment, roof rails, heated side mirrors with turn-signal indicators, LED exterior lights, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Limited is updated with authentic leather upholstery, ventilated front seats with position memory for the driver, a power front passenger’s seat, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a dual-pane sunroof, ambient interior lighting, manual rear side-window sunshades, a mélange headliner, power-folding side mirrors, and 20-inch wheels. What’s more, its tech stable has been increased with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, Hyundai Pay, an auto-dimming rearview with HomeLink, a 110-volt power outlet, and two third-row USB charging ports. Also added at this level is an innovative UV-C sanitizing compartment in the upper glovebox, which can be used to disinfect devices.
The Calligraphy represents the height of Hyundai luxury, represented by high-end Nappa leather upholstery, superior “relaxation” front seats, power-adjustable second-row captain’s chairs (this reduces the seating capacity to six), a 12-inch head-up display, an additional wireless phone charger, a digital rearview mirror, expanded ambient interior lighting, and an elegant eco-suede microfiber headliner. There’s also an exterior C-pillar assist handle, making it easier to load and unload roof-rack items.
Hyundai sets up each 2025 Sante Fe Hybrid trim with their signature SmartSense safety suite, which encompasses blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, front and rear parking sensors, rear occupant alert, forward collision-avoidance assist (with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning detection), forward attention warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, driver attention warning, and safe exit warning. Additional safety features are added to the Limited and Calligraphy, such as side parking sensors, Remote Smart Parking Assist, navigation-based adaptive cruise control, highway driving assist, a blind-spot view monitor, and a surround-view camera. The Calligraphy also receives blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, a more sophisticated forward collision system, and improved highway driving assist.
The standard infotainment system in the Santa Fe Hybrid is anything but entry level, boasting a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, a multi-speaker sound system, and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming. With the Limited and Calligraphy, this already substantial setup is augmented with onboard navigation, voice recognition, and a top-notch 12-speaker Bose audio system.
