Powertrain and Performance

The ’25 Ioniq 5 N is an elevated-performance crossover with a fully electric powertrain that produces up to 641 horsepower and 568 lb.-ft. of torque. It’s accompanied by an 84-kWh lithium-ion battery that allows for 221 miles of range (72 MPGe combined). All-wheel drive is a standard feature.

As is the way with all of Hyundai’s N variants, the Ioniq 5 N receives a host of performance augmentations. For this debuting EV, the list includes N Grin Boost, an electronic limited-slip rear differential (e-LSD), an electronically controlled suspension, selectable drive modes (N Mode, N Custom, and N Custom 2), and an N drift optimizer. It also achieves a 0-to-60 mph time of 3.25 seconds when N Launch Control and N Grin Boost are engaged, making it one of the quickest EVs out there.

An 800-volt DC ultra-fast charger will supply the ’25 Ioniq 5 N with an 80 percent charge in just 18 minutes. At home, the standard 10.9-kW on-board charging system can also be plugged in to a Level 2 charger, resulting in a full charge in approximately 7 hours.

Amenities of Note

The 2025 Ioniq 5 N, which is offered as a singular trim package, gets a long list of premium equipment. That begins with Pirelli P Zero summer performance tires on 21-inch alloy wheels with, proximity keyless entry and Digital Key, automatic projector-type LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and fog lights, heated power-folding side mirrors with turn-signal indicators, signature N design accents (grille, bumpers, rear diffuser, side skirts, and spoiler), gloss-black and orange accenting, rain-sensing windshield wipers, auto-retracting flush door handles, a hands-free liftgate, rear privacy glass, and acoustic-laminated windows.

The Ioniq 5 N’s cabin is highlighted by lightweight heated and ventilated front sport seats with Alcantara leather and H-Tex surfaces, dual-zone automatic climate control, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, push-button start, 64-color ambient lighting, a black headliner, aluminum pedals and door entry plates, and a 60/40-split rear seatback with a folding center armrest and cup holders. As far as its tech features, you’ll enjoy a wireless phone charger, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with performance instrumentation, Bluelink connected car services, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, and a medley of USB-C ports.

SmartSense Safety Tech

Safety is an important attribute for any vehicle, and Hyundai outfits the ’25 Ioniq 5 N with the SmartSense bundle of advanced driving aids. That list consists of blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, a blind-spot view monitor, a surround-view camera, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, parking sensors (front, side, and rear), reverse parking collision-avoidance assist, and forward collision-avoidance assist (with pedestrian, cyclist, junction turning, lane change, and evasive steering assist). Also standard are lane keeping assist, lane following assist, driver attention warning, navigation-based adaptive cruise control with highway driving assist and curve control, automatic high beams, safe exit assist, and rear occupant alert.

Connectivity and Entertainment

The 2025 Ioniq 5 N’s infotainment system is composed of a 12.3-inch touchscreen, onboard navigation, wireless smartphone connect (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), dynamic voice recognition, a deluxe Bose audio system, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, and Bluetooth.
