The redesigned Hyundai Santa Fe is offered in a trio of trim packages for 2024: the well-equipped base SEL, the mid-grade Limited, and the elegant Calligraphy. Their powertrain pairs a 1.6-liter turbo-charged four-cylinder with a 44.2-kW electric motor to create a combined 231 horsepower (as mentioned, that’s a 5-hp increase from the previous generation) and 271 lb.-ft. of torque. The six-speed automatic transmission sends power to the front (FWD) or all four wheels (HTRAC AWD). With front-wheel drive, the 2024 Santa Fe Hybrid achieves an EPA-estimated rating of 36 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway, while AWD yields ratings of 35 city/34 highway. A 2024 Santa Fe Hybrid equipped with trailer brakes can tow up to 2,000 pounds.
Kicking off the lineup, the seven-passenger SEL is configured with a second-row bench that has a power-release function for folding it flat, plus a third-row bench for two that splits 50/50. The Limited adds a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-inch head-up display, a navigation system with real-time traffic, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seats, a dual-pane sunroof, rear side sunshades, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, two extra USB ports in the third row, a 110-volt power outlet, four-way driver’s seat lumbar support with integrated memory, a 6-way power passenger seat, Hyundai Pay capability (you can pay for gas without leaving the vehicle), ambient interior lighting, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a UV-C sanitizer compartment, power-folding side mirrors, and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Topping the lineup is the Calligraphy, marked by a six-passenger configuration with a pair of power folding, reclining, and diving second-row captain’s chairs. Its other noteworthy features are premium Nappa leather upholstery, front-row driver and passenger relaxation seats with leg rest, dual wireless device charging, a 12-inch head-up display, expanded ambient cabin lighting, an eco-suede microfiber headliner, a camera-based rearview mirror (full display mirror), exterior grab handles on the C pillars (for easier roof rack loading/unloading), and 20-inch dark-finished alloy wheels.
The SmartSense safety technology suite is installed in every 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. Its features are smart cruise control with stop and go, blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, parking distance warning (front and rear), high beam assist, ultrasonic rear occupant alert with Bluelink integration, a rearview monitor with parking guidance, forward collision avoidance assist (with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning detection), lane keep assist, driver attention warning, forward attention warning, lane following assist, and safe exit assist. All three 2024 Santa Fe Hybrid trims have a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with HD Radio, SiriusXM satellite radio, wireless smartphone integration (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), and Bluelink Connected Car Services with over-the-air updating. While the SEL gets a relatively basic audio system, the Limited and Calligraphy move up to a premium 12-speaker Bose sound system.
