2022 Hyundai Elantra for Sale in Springfield, MA
Trims and Powertrain
Hyundai offers the front-wheel-drive 2022 Elantra in four trims: the SE, SEL, N Line, and Limited. All but the N Line have a 147-horsepower 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The N Line gets a 201 hp (195 lb.-ft. of torque) turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder 201 horsepower; a six-speed manual transmission is standard, with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic optional.
The EPA-estimated fuel economy for the SE is 33 mpg around town and 43 mpg on the highway. The numbers change to 31 city/41 highway for the SEL and Limited. The N Line with the manual transmission is rated for 25 city and 34 highway; with the automatic it gets 28 city/36 highway.
The base-level Elantra trim is generously equipped with remote keyless entry, USB charging and data ports, and an infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, HD radio, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also gets SmartSense, Hyundai’s assortment of advanced driving aids: automatic high beams, forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, safe exit warning, and driver attention warning.
The SEL adds even more, including a hands-free smart trunk, proximity entry, push-button start, automatic climate control (two-zone), illuminated vanity mirrors, SiriusXM satellite radio, a one-touch auto-up driver’s window, and Bluelink connected services. Two packages are offered as well: Convenience and Premium. The Convenience Package will deliver forward collision-avoidance assist with obstacle detection, heated side mirrors, heated front seats, a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, adaptive cruise control, an electronic parking brake, and a wireless phone charger. The Premium Package issues dark chrome exterior elements, combination LED and bulb taillights, side mirror turn-signal indicators, 17-inch wheels, Digital Key (turns your smartphone into the vehicle’s key), a power sunroof, an upscale eight-speaker Bose audio system, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a front passenger seatback pocket, and a 60/40-split fold-down rear seatback with a center armrest and cupholders.
The brazen N Line comes with some of the contents from the Convenience and Premium packages (the wireless charger, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, sunroof, 60/40-split rear seatback, power driver’s seat, and Digital Key). It also receives full LED taillights, a multi-link rear suspension, summer performance tires for models with the manual transmission, special N Line interior and exterior accents, leather- and cloth-upholstered sport seats, alloy pedals, a sporty leather-wrapped steering wheel with DCT paddle shifters, a signature N Line gauge cluster, and a black headliner.
The elite-tier Limited is more like the SEL than the N Line, although it comes with the remaining items from the Convenience and Premium packages, plus leather seats, ambient interior lighting, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen with integrated navigation, dynamic voice recognition, and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (the larger touchscreen isn’t compatible with wireless smartphone integration). This trim also adds rear parking sensors, reverse automatic braking, and highway driving assist. In addition to ensuring that you’re following the speed limit, highway driving assist also helps to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you using the adaptive cruise control and lane following assist systems.
